چکیده

With the introduction of unregulated renewable energy such as wind, solar and tidal power, operation electrical grid has become more challenging. The dynamic production pattern requires advanced control algorithms in order to maintain an acceptable voltage quality which is within limits given by network regulators. Better tooling improved simulation different scenarios required. This paper presents development droop/compensation controller used a typical hydro power controller. controllers been implemented using Modelica language are according Norwegian Energy Regulatory Authority (NERA). Having available makes it possible integrate them with system models build use OpenHPL. behaviour have tested against verified generator model OpenIPSL.

Voltage Source Convertor in Interphase Power Controller

A new model of Interphase Power Controller (IPC) for controlling active power is introduced in this paper. In this model, which is called VSC-based IPC, the voltage source converter (VSC) does the function of the phase shifting transformer (PST) in IPC. This new structure not only has the features of IPC, but also controls the output power effectively when the input power is changed by alternat...

Workload-aware low-power supply voltage controller

Current microprocessors are complex systems with multiple cores and non-trivial architectures, employing millions of sub-100nm transistors designed for extreme power, speed, and reliability constraints.1 An efficient control scheme for dynamic power, reliability, error detection-correction, workload scheduling, and thermal management is required. However, neuromorphic architectures are currentl...

Optimized Fuzzy Controller Design in Unbalanced Voltage Drop Mode for Dynamic Voltage Restorer

The loss of balanced voltages involves a voltage drop due to symmetric three-phase errors, or the initiation of high-power three-phase loads or symmetric three-phase switches. While these events in an unbalanced way lead to asymmetric voltage drops. Voltage drops can cause asymmetric load on the power grid, the occurrence of volatility, and even network power outage. One of the most common ways...

A CHS based PID Controller for Unified Power Flow Controller

This paper presents a method for designing of proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller based on unified power flow controller (UPFC) using chaotic harmony search algorithm (CHS) for damping of low frequency oscillations (LFO) in a power system. The main aim of this paper, optimization of selected gains with the time domainbased objective function which is solved by chaotic harmony sear...

An Advanced Hysteresis Controller to Improve Voltage Profile of Power System with PV Units: A Smart Grid Power Exchange Framework

Unlike traditional power grids, smart grids have the advantage of bidirectional power flow and having distributed generations. Distributed generation systems are usually supplied by renewable sources which can cause unpredicted voltage fluctuations as a result of being intermittent. While traditional compensating devices deal with the problem of voltage fluctuation and reduced power quality wit...
